Job Title: Director of Operations
Location: On-site 
Salary: $150,000 – $165,000 + Performance Bonus + Benefits

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for production performance, warehouse and facilities management, maintenance, food safety and quality systems, OSHA compliance, cost control, and scaling operations to support growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-functional teams including Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Planning.

  • Oversee production performance, throughput, labor productivity, and on-time delivery.

  • Partner with Supply Chain to manage inventory, raw material availability, and production planning.

  • Scale new products from pilot to full production in collaboration with R&D.

  • Lead capacity planning, capital projects, automation, and facility expansions.

  • Own food safety and quality compliance, including SQF, HACCP, FDA/FSMA, and GMP adherence.

  • Execute OSHA and workplace safety programs, fostering a culture of safety across all departments.

  • Lead Lean / Six Sigma initiatives to improve yield, reduce waste, and lower COGS.

  • Establish KPIs and dashboards for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team performance.

  • Own operational P&L in partnership with the CFO and drive margin improvement initiatives.

  • Coach and develop supervisors and team members, supporting succession planning and workforce growth.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in CPG food or beverage manufacturing.

  • Proven experience with SQF (or BRC/IFS) certification and audits.

  • Strong knowledge of FDA/FSMA, HACCP, GMPs, food safety systems, and OSHA compliance.

  • Experience leading multi-line, multi-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

  • Track record of operational excellence, cost reduction, and scaling production.

  • Maintenance and facilities management experience.

  • Strong ERP, inventory management, and production planning skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Production Maintenance (TPM) certification preferred.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift, sit at a computer for extended periods.

  • Regular lifting up to 25 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 55 lbs.

  • Ability to bend, kneel, twist, climb, and reach.

  • Comfortable in a noisy, multi-production line manufacturing environment.
