Structural Steel Fabricator

1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $23.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator to join our shop team. This full‑time, first‑shift role is ideal for someone with strong fabrication skills who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Read and interpret shop drawings, weld symbols, and bolt callouts
• Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel per specifications
• Square, level, and align assemblies prior to welding
• Verify dimensions and tolerances before final weld‑out
• Identify and work with structural materials including W‑shapes, HSS, channel, angle, and plate
• Build components such as shear tabs, clip angles, moment connections, and base plates
• Maintain production schedules while upholding quality and safety standards

Tools & Equipment You’ll Use

• Tape measures, squares, levels, and layout tools
• Magnetic drills, ironworkers, saws, and torches
• Overhead cranes and basic rigging equipment
• Safely flip, position, and maneuver large structural assemblies

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication
• Strong blueprint‑reading and layout skills
• Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Comfortable handling large steel components in a shop environment
