Payroll Administrator

Pay rate: $23.50/hr 

Full Time, Monday - Friday

Position Summary   

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule. This role ensures full compliance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws, garnishment requirements, and payroll-related regulations. The Payroll Administrator maintains payroll-related employee information within the HRIS system, including pay changes, job changes affecting compensation, terminations, and other payroll updates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws

  • Administer wage garnishments and other payroll deductions

  • Maintain and update employee payroll data within HRIS systems

  • Process compensation changes, job status changes, and terminations

  • Maintain payroll records and documentation

  • Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation

  • Provide responsive customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries

Required Qualifications

  • Experience processing payroll, preferably in a multi-employee environment

  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (ADP Workforce preferred)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to use a computer for extended periods

  • Regularly required to sit and remain stationary

  • Must be able to communicate via computer and phone/smart device

  • Occasionally lift up to 10 pound
