Salary: 19.00 - 23.00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process domestic and international shipments using various systems, including, but not limited to, Starship, Therefore, UPS, WorldShip, and QuickBooks.
  • Perform quality inspections during the shipping process and authorize products to ship.
  • Inspect helmet orders and components to ensure quality standards are met prior to shipment.
  • Document discrepancies and issues using the Opportunity Log.
  • Match, verify, and evaluate shipping rates for LTL carriers, UPS and FedEx, and other shipping providers to determine the most effective method.
  • Execute detailed reviews of import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, international bills of lading, and related records, ensuing compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with distributors, freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, and customers.
  • Maintain shipment tracking databases including item-level cost tracking.
  • Maintain all supporting documents documentation for shipments, including logs, files, and reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of U.S. government import and export requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area that supports Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Contribute to organizational goals, core values, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at industry trade shows and customer meetings as assigned.
  • Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Remain flexible, adaptable, and positive in a dynamic production environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable work experience/training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites or Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard shipping solutions and best practices (UPS, Fed Ex, USPS).
  • Experience with material packaging and handling.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to follow and support Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare or support an annual transportation budget.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing safety equipment or a related industry.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
