Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Mechanical Assembler!

Position Summary: This role supports the assembly of high-powered industrial microwave oven systems in a manufacturing environment. The Mechanical Assembly Technician will perform mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing assembly while following blueprints, schematics, and work orders. Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble industrial oven systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components
• Perform wiring and electrical assembly using schematics and blueprints
• Read and interpret work orders, assembly drawings, and electrical diagrams
• Use hand tools and mechanical tools safely and efficiently
• Follow inventory control and production procedures accurately
• Ensure assemblies meet quality and production standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow written and verbal instructions and work collaboratively with team members

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and basic electrical circuits preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and general assembly skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• High School Diploma or GED required

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 7:00am – 3:30pm

Pay:

• $18.00 - $19.00/hour
