Position Title - Forklift Operator (Reach Truck / Cherry Picker)

 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator . The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

 

Location: Edgerton, KS

Scheduled: Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Pay: $19.50

Duties

• Operate forklifts, including reach trucks and cherry pickers, to move materials safely throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies while operating heavy machinery.
• Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency in storage and retrieval of products.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as needed.
• Participate in inventory management tasks, including stock counts and reporting discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a forklift operator in a distribution center or warehouse setting is required.
• Familiarity with operating various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and cherry picker.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
