Experienced Flooring Estimator

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join a growing team!

Position Details:
• Type: Direct Hire
• Schedule: Full-Time (Day Shift)
• Pay/Salary: $80,000/year

Job Duties:
• Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project documentation to prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, and timelines.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns including overhead, profit margins, and risk factors.
• Evaluate and compare bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and cost-effective pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to fully understand project scope and requirements.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts to ensure alignment with budgets and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit bids in response to proposals, including all necessary documentation and cost justifications.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to negotiate and finalize pricing and scope details.
• Conduct site visits as needed to gather data for accurate project estimates.
• Identify potential risks and uncertainties and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Work closely with project management teams to ensure costs remain within budget throughout the project lifecycle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within the construction industry.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with cost estimation software and tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines.
