Fabrication Technician

Hodgkins, IL

6:30am – 4:00pm M-F  6:30am – 11:30am Sat

Pay: $25-$35/hr

 

A local Union Manufacturer in the Hodgkins area is searching for a Fabrication Technician who will spend the majority of the workday fabricating custom metal components for clients. You are going to be provided the latest equipment and have the chance to operate within a clean and climate controlled workspace.

Want to be our newest team member? You should have experience in Arc Welding and MIG welding in sheet metal and structural steel. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse setting and be able to read blueprints, work with fractions and be able to take initiative.

What we look for in Fabrication Technicians:

• 1-3 years of Fabrication MIG welding experience is preferred (Production welding is acceptable)
• Arc welding
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
• Reading blue prints 
• Reading a tape measure
• Experience in working with sheet metal or experience performing structural welding
• Entry level experience in using a brake press is preferred but not required (willing to train)
• Strong work history and great work ethic
