Express Employment Professionals in Syracuse NY is working with top rated local manufacturers to connect ready to work associates with immediate open positions. Full Time, long-term. Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM. $20+ DOE

 

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing goods. This role ensures products are correctly received, stored, picked, packaged, and shipped, maintaining inventory integrity and timely deliveries.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive Shipments: Unload, inspect, verify, and log incoming deliveries against purchase orders; report discrepancies or damage.

• Prepare Shipments: Pick, package, weigh, and label items for outgoing orders; coordinate with freight carriers.

• Inventory Management: Assist with organizing stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, and participating in counts.

• Documentation: Complete all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork and data entry in relevant systems.

• Safety & Organization: Adhere to safety protocols, operate material handling equipment safely, and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving role preferred.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency with computer systems (e.g., MS Office, WMS/ERP, shipping software).

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment -forklift experience-

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Good communication and basic math skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
