Licensed Benefits Account Representative – Employer Group Insurance

Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 annually

A growing health insurance brokerage firm in Chicago is seeking a Licensed Benefits Account Representative to support employer group clients and deliver exceptional service across their benefits programs.

This is a highly interactive, client-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and values building long-term client relationships. You will play a key role in guiding prospective clients through benefit options while also supporting existing clients throughout the lifecycle of their plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective clients through benefit options using the MetLife portal

  • Answer plan-related and general insurance questions during the enrollment process

  • Provide clear, accurate explanations of coverage, plan features, and benefits

  • Deliver responsive, high-quality service via phone and email

  • Support employer groups with:

    • Employee additions and terminations

    • Eligibility updates

  • Respond to billing inquiries and policy service requests

  • Serve as a trusted resource for ongoing benefits-related questions

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding and service experience


Qualifications

  • Active Life & Health Insurance License (Preferred) 

  • Experience supporting employer-sponsored group benefits programs

  • Working knowledge of:

    • Dental

    • Vision

    • Life insurance

    • Short-term disability

    • Long-term disability

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and client service abilities

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Team-oriented with a professional, service-driven mindset
