Position 1: Assembler/Installer – Inmate Transport Systems

Position Summary

The Inmate Transport Systems Assembler/Installer is responsible for assembling and installing aluminum containment systems used in law enforcement and correctional transport vehicles. This role follows standardized build specifications, templates, and production instructions to ensure all products meet company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble aluminum inmate transport cages, partitions, benches, and related components using established build specifications
• Install transport systems into vans, trucks, and specialty vehicles
• Follow work orders, production instructions, and supervisor direction
• Cut, fit, drill, fasten, and finish aluminum materials using hand and power tools
• Use measuring tools (tape measure, square, level) to ensure accurate fit and alignment
• Perform quality checks to confirm structural integrity and proper function
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Meet daily and weekly production goals
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1–3 years of assembly, manufacturing, vehicle upfitting, or construction experience preferred
• Experience working with aluminum or sheet metal a plus
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a production/shop environment

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing
• Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive tool use
• Exposure to manufacturing noise and equipment
