Job Title: Machine Operator (Fabrication Shop)
Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – Friday
Summary: Express Employment is seeking an experienced Machine Operator with 3-5 years in a fabrication shop environment for a client in Hudson, WI. This role is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machines including beveling table (oxy/acetylene), pinch plate roll, 750-ton press brake, marvel band saw, and grinders. The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, set up tooling and fixtures, and ensure parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and job sketches.
  • Set up and operate fabrication machines and special jigs/fixtures.
  • Efficiently set up tooling and process parts per job drawings.
  • Inspect completed and in-process parts for dimensional accuracy.
  • Debur parts and perform grinding as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Sharpen drill bits and maintain cutting tools.
  • Cut steel, aluminum, or plastic stock as required.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and use approved safety devices.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Collaborate with and assist less experienced operators.
  • Report equipment malfunctions promptly to Fab Foreman.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of machine operation experience in a fabrication shop.
  • Proficient with beveling tables (oxy/acetylene), pinch plate rolls, press brakes, band saws, and grinders.
  • Ability to read blueprints and job drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
