Title & Type:  Ditch Rider, Seasonal Contract

  

Pay:  $30+/hr DOE

  

Schedule:  Flexible hours, 25-40+ w/ on-call during peak season (April-October)

  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ditch maintenance/clearing canals and ditches of obstructions and debris
• Patrol & monitor irrigation canals for unimpeded water flow.
• Coordinate with construction and governmental agencies to ensure proper access and usage
• Surveying and writing reports

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Ability to use personal vehicle in the course of duties, valid driver’s license, clean driving record
• Knowledge of water flow and pressure; knowledge of irrigation systems
• Ability to work in outdoor, physically active role
• Familiarity with Idaho water laws and governing agencies
