Journeyman HVAC Installer 

 

Location: Grand Forks ND

Pay: $25-$32/hr DOE

Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm 

 

Key Responsibilities
• Lead residential and commercial HVAC installations
• Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, duct systems, and ventilation equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Size and fabricate ductwork as needed
• Run gas piping and refrigerant lines
• Start up and commission equipment
• Ensure installations meet local mechanical code requirements
• Train and supervise apprentices
• Communicate professionally with customers and builders

Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of HVAC installation practices
• Ability to read blueprints and layout systems
• Refrigeration piping and brazing skills
• Gas piping installation knowledge
• Troubleshooting and startup competency
• Strong leadership skills

Experience Required
• 4+ years HVAC installation experience
• Residential and light commercial experience preferred
• Proven ability to run installs independently

Education / Certifications
• Journeyman HVAC License (if required by state)
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check

• Lift up to 100lbs
