Mechanical Design Engineer – Metal Fabrication

Salary (experience-based):
- Entry-level: starting at $50,000
- Mid-career / SolidWorks-proficient: starting at $60,000
- Highly experienced / project leaders: starting at $70,000
What You’ll Do
- Design vehicle components and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Support metal fabrication and custom manufacturing projects from concept to prototype
- Work directly with shop technicians to validate feasibility and ensure production quality
- Produce drawings and documentation for production and compliance
- Apply hands-on problem solving to refine designs and enhance the design library
About You
- Passionate about mechanical design and motivated by seeing your work built
- Proficient in SolidWorks with experience in design for manufacturing or metal fabrication
- Comfortable in a small, fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Organized, detail-focused, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Creative, resourceful, and eager to contribute meaningful engineering solutions
