Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Skilled Panel Saw Operator for a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity for a candidate experienced in operating both band saws and panel saws with precision and accuracy.

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints, use precision measurement tools, and safely operate power equipment in a production setting. This is not an entry-level role — prior saw operation experience is required.

Responsibilities

As a Panel Saw Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Operating panel saws and band saws to cut materials according to specifications.
Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Measuring materials accurately using tape measures and calipers.
Setting up saw equipment and adjusting blade guides, stops, and cutting depths.
Using various hand and power tools to assist with fabrication tasks.
Ensuring cuts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
Performing routine equipment checks and minor adjustments.
Maintaining accurate documentation and production records.
Keeping work area clean and following all safety protocols.

Requirements

Prior experience operating panel saws and band saws required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Proficiency using tape measures, calipers, and measurement tools.
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.
Safety-focused mindset in a manufacturing environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Precision cutting and material handling experience.
Understanding of tolerances and dimensional accuracy.
Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Strong time-management and production efficiency skills.
Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

Shifts & Hours

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Monday – Friday
Full-Time
Overtime may be available as needed

Pay & Benefits

$18.00 per hour
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
