Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a skilled MIG / TIG Welder for a full-time, 1st shift opportunity in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This role requires a welder who can read blueprints, fabricate components, and use various hand and power tools to complete high-quality welds.

We are seeking dependable candidates with strong fabrication experience and a solid understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.

Responsibilities

As a MIG / TIG Welder, your responsibilities will include:

Performing MIG and TIG welding on various metal materials.
Reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
Fabricating and assembling metal components according to specifications.
Using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and cutting equipment.
Preparing materials by measuring, cutting, and fitting parts before welding.
Inspecting welds for strength, penetration, and overall quality.
Maintaining consistent weld appearance and meeting quality standards.
Troubleshooting minor welding and fabrication issues.
Following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

Prior MIG and TIG welding experience required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Experience using hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, grinders, etc.).
Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Welding certification is a plus but not required.

Skills & Qualifications

Fabrication and assembly experience.
Blueprint reading proficiency.
Knowledge of welding safety standards.
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

Shifts & Hours

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Monday – Friday
Full-Time
Overtime may be available based on workload
