Job Summary

The Material Handler / Forklift Operator will support warehouse operations by handling inbound and outbound materials, managing inventory, and operating forklifts safely and efficiently. This role plays a key part in ensuring that materials and products are moved accurately, stored properly, and prepared for shipment in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load/unload trucks, transport materials between departments, and support daily warehouse operations.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, finished goods, and supplies against bills of lading or other documentation.

• Pull finished products from inventory, assemble orders, and prepare items for shipment in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.

• Count and examine materials to confirm completeness and condition, reporting shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.

• Assist in cycle counts and other inventory control tasks to maintain accurate stock levels.

• Match material and shipments to documented orders before staging and loading.

• Maintain warehouse equipment and perform routine forklift checks; exchange propane tanks and perform minor maintenance as needed.

• Support Warehouse Supervisor and team with scanning, documentation, and other inventory management tasks as required.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).

• Valid forklift operating experience; ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

• Basic math and communication skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Preferred:

• 1–3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.

• Inventory control or cycle count experience.

• Proficiency using forklift scanners and inventory systems.
