Express Employment Professionals is seeking an HVAC Technician to start ASAP. The HVAC Tech is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related facility equipment. This includes air compressors, air dryers, and variable-speed air handlers, as well as performing general building and grounds maintenance as needed.
Commercial HVAC Technicians install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial facilities. They ensure equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local codes and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, split systems, and refrigeration equipment

Perform preventative maintenance such as filter changes, belt replacement, coil cleaning, and system inspections

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues using meters and diagnostic tools

Install new HVAC equipment, ductwork, thermostats, and building automation components

Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and safety standards

Communicate with customers regarding system performance, repairs, and recommendations

Maintain accurate service reports and parts inventory
Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical controls

Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams

Experience with rooftop units (RTUs), VAV systems, chillers, and boilers required

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

EPA Section 608 Certification (preferred/required)

Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-call when needed

Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or rooftops

Commercial buildings such as offices, hospitals, schools, retail centers, and warehouses

Mix of indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Use of hand tools, power tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment
