Position Summary

The Dental Hygienist will provide high-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral hygiene practices, and support the dental team in delivering exceptional hands on care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures
• Assist dentists during examinations and treatments as needed
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Conduct oral cancer screenings
• Administer fluoride treatments and preventive care services
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation and charting
• Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment using proper aseptic techniques
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control standards
• Collaborate effectively with dentists, dental assistants, and office staff

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license (state-specific requirements apply)
• Previous experience in a dental office preferred
• Proficiency with Dentrix or Epic software is a plus
• Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures
• Familiarity with dental imaging and patient record management
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control
