Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday with on‑call rotation
Location: Field-based role with travel to job sites

Position Overview
Express Employment is seeking an experienced and motivated Reconstruction Repair Lead to oversee repair and reconstruction projects following property damage. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
You will coordinate jobsite operations, guide technicians, manage materials and documentation, and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and timeline expectations. This position requires strong leadership, technical skill, and the ability to problem-solve in the field.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support a team of technicians on reconstruction and repair projects
• Assess damage, prepare job plans, and ensure materials and equipment are ready
• Follow direction from Project Managers and collaborate with leadership
• Complete daily documentation including time sheets, vehicle checklists, production notes, inventory lists, and damage reports
• Maintain clean, safe, OSHA-compliant job sites
• Perform hands-on reconstruction tasks including:
• Drywall hanging, taping, and texturing
• Interior and exterior painting
• Basic finish carpentry
• Cabinet and trim installation
• Reading blueprints and navigating layouts
• Assist with material purchasing and jobsite logistics
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance
• Support content retrieval and other tasks as needed
• Ensure proper trash disposal and help maintain company vehicles and equipment
Required Skills and Abilities
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to meet high-quality standards under tight deadlines
• Knowledge of jobsite safety practices
• Comfortable using computer systems for documentation and job tracking
• Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional results
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience leading a team
• 2+ years of drywall hanging, taping, and texturing
• 2+ years of cabinetry and trim installation
• 2+ years of residential and/or commercial repair experience
• Ability to read blueprints and follow layouts
• Experience with interior and exterior painting
• Customer service experience
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• IICRC certifications preferred but not required
• Experience in water or fire restoration is a plus
Physical Requirements
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights over 5 feet
• Regular work at active job sites and customer locations
