Position Summary

The Shop Helper supports fabrication and production operations by assisting with material handling, part finishing, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment. This is an entry-level position with opportunity for growth within the manufacturing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Deburr and clean fabricated metal parts
• Perform material handling, including loading and unloading materials
• Assist operators and fabricators as needed
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
• Dispose of scrap material properly
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies
• Assist with general production support tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
• Good basic math skills (fractions, measurements)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Strong work ethic and reliability

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing shop environment
• Standing for extended periods
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to industrial equipment and noise
