Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is a key supervisory position responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse activities on the second shift. This role ensures production targets are met safely, compliantly, and efficiently. The Operations (Supervisor) is expected to provide hands-on guidance, enforce cGMP standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives while leading a team of manufacturing and packaging operators.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate 2nd shift packaging and manufacturing operations.
- Ensure all production tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain compliance with FDA, cGMP, and internal quality protocols.
- Train and support team members on SOPs, safety, and job-specific tasks.
- Assist with hands-on duties such as:
- Obtaining raw materials from the warehouse.
- Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
- Transferring materials during processing.
- Assembling, sanitizing, and operating equipment.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities.
- Accurately document all production activities according to established protocols.
- Monitor and maintain production records, logs, and shift reports.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Communicate with the Operations Manager regarding staffing, materials, and shift performance.
- Lead by example with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and production-related odors.
- Noise level may vary from moderate to loud.
- Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Physical Demands
- Stand for extended periods (majority of the shift).
- Use hands and fingers for equipment adjustments and product handling.
- Reach, kneel, crouch, and occasionally sit.
- Lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly.
- Operate a barrel mover with loads up to 600 lbs.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably under cGMP conditions.
- Prior experience with the FDA, is preferred.
- Supervisory or lead experience is highly preferred.
Additional Qualifications
- Basic math skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in standard units of measure.
- English language fluency – reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong reasoning skills – ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain industrial powered forklift certification.
- Vision requirements: clarity from 20 inches to 20 feet and the ability to distinguish colors.

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 (Depending on experience)
