2nd Shift Team Lead

Salary: $21.50/hr

Job Summary/Company Information: 

 

An automotive manufacturing company in Columbus, IN is hiring a Team Lead to their team. Lead and support a team of assembly employees to achieve departmental goals in efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time performance. Foster employee engagement and development while maintaining smooth daily operations.

 

Team Lead's Responsibilities:

• Check incoming deliveries to confirm correct quantities and identify any defects or nonconformance.
• Enter and review KPI data, collaborating with Inventory Control leadership to meet performance expectations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues using established procedures and available tools.
• Communicate clearly with internal staff and external partners such as carriers or suppliers.
• Oversee skilled assemblers to ensure department targets and productivity metrics are met or exceeded.
• Build and adjust weekly work schedules aligned with production and customer needs.
• Track daily performance metrics and provide updates to management.
• Remain available to respond to issues during business hours—onsite, by phone, or by email.

 

Schedule: 2nd Shift

• Monday-Friday
• 3pm-12am
• Overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• Prefer 5+ years of warehouse team leadership experience.
• Prefer 3+ years of forklift operating experience.
• At least 2 years of general warehouse experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using warehouse management or ERP software.
• Frequent standing, walking, and navigating warehouse areas throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs using proper technique.
