Project Estimator

Job Summary:

Express Employment Professionals in Miami Dade South is currently hiring a Project Estimator for a dynamic, quality-driven construction company in the Miami Dade area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects. This is a full-time position with long-term opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine scope and requirements; prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations; develop competitive bid proposals and tender documents; assist in contract negotiations and project budgeting
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients; identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain up-to-date cost databases and pricing records; monitor project costs against estimates and report variances to management in a timely manner

Schedule & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday | 8:00AM - 5:00PM | Full Time | In-Person
  • Competitive salary based on experience | Paid weekly through Express Pros, Miami Dade South, FL

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, quantity surveying, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating required; strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office; strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, architects, and project managers
