Salary: $30.00 - $38.00/Hour
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathe machines and a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality control. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to precision production. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, familiarity with CAD and SolidWorks, and experience with various tools and machinery including CNC milling machines, press brake machines, and forklifts.
Duties:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC lathe machines using Fanuc controls to produce high-precision parts
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining
- Perform CNC programming adjustments and troubleshoot machine issues to maintain optimal operation
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to verify part dimensions
- Maintain machine calibration and perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist with welding, assembly, packaging, and other manufacturing tasks as needed
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation when required
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the warehouse or production area
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of hand tools and personal protective equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines; familiarity with CNC milling machines is a plus
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, Fanuc controls, CAD software, and SolidWorks
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining, welding, press brake operations, and assembly processes
- Proficiency in using calipers, hand tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Warehouse experience preferred; familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and quality control standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
