Material Handler (Crane Operator) - $16.00/HOUR

A company in Santa Teresa, NM needs a Material Handler. The Material Handler 

safely controls mobile, tower, or overhead cranes to lift, move, and position materials. Key duties include daily safety inspections, interpreting signals from riggers, monitoring load weights, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Crane Operation: Safely operating levers, pedals, and buttons to maneuver crane booms, hooks, and loads.
• Safety Inspections: Performing daily inspections of cables, hydraulic systems, brakes, and hoisting mechanisms.
• Load Handling: Lifting, positioning, and placing machinery or materials, often working with riggers or spotters.
• Site Safety: Ensuring the stability of the crane, setting outriggers, monitoring weather conditions, and adhering to load capacity limitations.
• Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on cranes.
• Documentation: Maintaining logs of materials moved, maintenance performed, and safety check records.
