Job Description:

· Maintain the quality record matrix and quality forms

· Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms

· Perform analysis on select processes and report findings

· Recommend updated or new processes

· Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports

· Assist in the quarantine of defective materials

· Administer approved changes to the quality system

· Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparator, micrometer, caliper, MicroVu, Oasis operation, hard gages, height gages GO/NO GO gages, thread gages, profilometer and roundness checkers

· Accuracy verification of gages and measuring equipment

· Assist in QA and ISO audits

· All other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

· Check dimensional accuracy and conformance against published specifications on first piece, In-Process, Finished Goods, Receiving and Outside Process Inspection.

· Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparators, micrometers, calipers, hard gages, GO/NO GO gages, CMM, profilometer, Roncom, MicroVu and Oasis.

· Maintain accurate inspection records and certificates per the Quality Management System requirements

· Perform part layout for PPAP, FAI/ISIR and Other Customer Requests

· Perform analysis on select processes and report findings

· Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports

· Assists in the quarantine of defective materials

· Assist with orientation of production employees on quality system procedures, gage maintenance and gage calibration

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. plus 1+ year quality assurance experience

· Possess general knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes

· Mechanically and mathematically adept

· Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills

· Possess data entry and computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications

· Must be quality conscious and in continual pursuit of improvement

· Exhibit core values of integrity and accountability

· Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient work area

· Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment and in a solo capacity

· Demonstrates ability to read, write, speak, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English.

· Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands, arms and feet

· Frequently required to talk and hear, to stand, walk or sit; to balance, stoop and crouch

· Occasionally required to push, pull and/or safely lift various pieces of equipment or parts weighing up to 35 pounds from floor to table height

· Vision abilities (corrective or non) include close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

· Ability to understand and comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures and advocate ISO system standards

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Exposure to moderate noises

· Temperature variances

· Exposure to fumes, chemicals and airborne particles

 

Full-Time (Custom Part-Time Shifts Available for Qualified Machinists)

 

Salary Range:

$23-$27 Hourly DOE

 

Shifts Available: M-F

1st shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
