Maintenance Person

Department: Engineering / Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Chief Engineer

Position Summary

The Maintenance Person is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the resort property. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, and outdoor spaces are maintained to the highest standards to provide a safe, comfortable, and exceptional guest experience.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems

• Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance calls

• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled

• Maintain pools, landscaping, walkways, docks, and beachfront areas as needed

• Repair drywall, paint surfaces, replace fixtures, and perform minor carpentry work

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations

• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs

• Assist with emergency repairs and storm preparation as needed

• Support overall property upkeep to preserve resort aesthetics and functionality

 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience (hospitality preferred)

• English or Spanish / Open for this role
