Shipping and Receiving Associate

·         South Buffalo  NY,  Not on a bus route

·         1^st shift 5am-3:30pm

·         $18-$20 per hour

Job Duties include:

• Receiving: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against invoices or packing lists to ensure accuracy and check for damages.
• Shipping: Package, label, and prepare outgoing products for shipment while adhering to carrier specifications and safety protocols.
• Inventory Management: Update inventory systems, reconcile stock discrepancies, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Documentation: Prepare shipping manifests, bills of lading, and other required import/export documents.
• Logistics & Safety: Coordinate with carriers for pickups, operate forklifts or pallet jacks, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

 

Requirements include:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications and shipping software including outlook, FedEx and Worldship.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring settings and checking product quality.
• Communication: Ability to work in a team and report issues to supervisors
