Express Employment Professionals – St. Catharines, is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Repair Technician to support the repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of our machinery and facility. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability, hands-on experience, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for machine repairs, facility upkeep, preventative maintenance, and coordinating specialized contractors when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Maintenance & Repair

• Perform maintenance and repair work on: Welders, Press brakes, small tools and shop equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Use measuring equipment to ensure proper alignment and functionality
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Maintain safe repair practices at all times

Facility Upkeep & Building Maintenance

• General building maintenance including: Light bulb replacement, minor electrical and fixture repairs, fencing repairs, painting and general upkeep
• Safety compliance maintenance
• Respond promptly to facility repair needs
• Coordinate and call-in external HVAC technicians, plumbers, or other contractors as required
• Keep maintenance projects on track and well-documented

Team & Safety

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of maintenance and repair experience (manufacturing or industrial setting preferred)
• Strong mechanical inclination and troubleshooting ability
• Proficiency with: hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, welders and fabrication tools
• Ability to read measuring devices and perform accurate adjustments
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Reliable, organized, and proactive

Wage: $28.00/hour
