Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of E-Mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel ( advanced).
  • Knowledgeable about office processes and procedures.
  • Relevant skills include reporting, business writing, managing processes, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with integrity, discretion, and professionalism.

  • Ability to put together an annual business plan for each of the respective Accounting and Finance departments and work with team of Managers to execute it successfully.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
  • Maintain accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Assist with and support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate payroll reporting and compliance.
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory-related accounting in coordination with Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Prepare and file sales tax and other required regulatory reports (multi-state compliance as applicable).
  • Generate monthly financial reports for the Director of Accounting & Finance.
  • Assist in budget tracking and expense monitoring.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and employee information.
  • Provide backup support within the accounting function as needed.
  • Mentor and develop subordinates.  Provide them with a formalized performance review bi-annually.
  • Work with auditors to ensure that the appropriate recording of company’s financial transactions is maintained.
  • Correspond and meet with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
  • Identify areas for operational improvements.
  • Meet regularly with the Company’s President and provide updates
