Magnetic Particle Inspector- 1st shift

1rst Shift Magnetic Particle Inspector: $21.50 per hour

 

A local Dekalb company is searching for a Magnetic Particle Inspector. This dynamic manufacturing environment is growing and is looking to hire a collaborative worker who will help grow the company to a new level of production. Machine Operators work independently and as part of a team, at times with limited supervision.

 

You will work with Machine Operators and other skilled tradesman, offering an opportunity to gain on the job training. There are weekly and monthly goals and incentives to complete production goals and schedules. You will set up, operate, and control machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine/motor settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loading, Unloading Ganesh and Laser and Lathes

• Run Shot Blast and Hand Grinders

• Maintain Warehouse – pulling dies from and returning dies to warehouse locations

• Shipping/Receiving

• Machine Cleaning

• Cleaning Dies

• Dot Peening

• Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Forklift Experience Required

• Experience working with steel preferred

• Attention to detail

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires walking, standing, climbing, crawling, bending

• Requires regular lifting greater than 20 lbs., occasionally greater than 50 lbs. 

 

Candidates must pass a pre-employment Drug Screen, physical and detailed background check

 

What we look for in Machine Operators:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment including with diverse high-speed machinery
• Attention to detail, specifically in following production procedures
• Safely and accurately operate equipment as assigned
