Outdoor Laborer – Port Allen

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $19-22 DOE

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for an Outside Laborer for a local client in Port Allen. This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, performing physically demanding tasks, and traveling for extended periods. Ideal candidates are safety-focused, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties on environmental and industrial job sites
• Handle heavy lifting of materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• Assist with site preparation, cleanup, equipment setup, and other required tasks
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
• Travel with crew to job locations, sometimes staying in a hotel up to 5 consecutive days. Personal hotel room and $50/day per diem provided.

Requirements

• Previous surveying or construction labor experience preferred but not required
• OSHA Hazwoper certification preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials throughout the workday
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town during the work week
• Reliable transportation to the departure point for crew travel
• Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions
• Strong work ethic and dependability
