🧰 Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Burner Test Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and validating burners and combustion systems used in HVAC equipment to ensure performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Set up and perform combustion and burner tests on HVAC units and components
• Measure and analyze combustion efficiency, emissions, and airflow
• Operate test equipment such as combustion analyzers, pressure gauges, thermocouples, and flow meters
• Diagnose and troubleshoot burner performance issues
• Document test results and prepare detailed reports
• Ensure testing complies with safety standards and company procedures
• Assist engineering or production teams with product validation and improvements
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and lab tools
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines at all times

✅ Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Associate degree in HVAC, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred)
• 2+ years of HVAC, burner service, or lab testing experience
• Strong understanding of combustion principles and gas/oil burner systems
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, controls, and components
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Experience using combustion analyzers and diagnostic tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification (EPA 608)
• NATE certification or similar HVAC credential
• Experience in a manufacturing, lab, or R&D environment
• Knowledge of industry standards (ANSI, CSA, UL, etc.)

💪 Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Standing, bending, and working in lab or shop environments
• Ability to work with gas-fired equipment safely
