Location: Brewery Taproom / Brewpub

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and passionate Cook to join a brewery team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality food that complements our craft beer offerings, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in delivering consistent, flavorful dishes that enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in developing seasonal and beer-paired menu specials
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner during high-volume service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and storage areas
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to management
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
Maintain compliance with local health department regulations
Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

Previous cooking or line cook experience preferred (brewpub or casual dining experience a plus)
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong multitasking and time-management skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with grill, fryer, and sauté stations
Understanding of food and beer pairings
Creative input for menu development
Ability to work in a high-volume taproom environment

Work Environment

Fast-paced brewery or taproom setting
Exposure to hot kitchen equipment
Moderate noise levels during peak service
