A local company in Allegan MI is seeking an Entry-Level Deburring Technician to support metal fabrication operations. This role is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from fabricated metal parts to ensure safety and quality standards are met. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing, as on-the-job training will be provided.
Remove burrs and sharp edges from metal parts using hand tools and basic power tools
Perform edge breaking and light surface finishing according to work instructions
Visually inspect parts to ensure quality and safe handling
Follow job travelers, work orders, and supervisor instructions
Properly identify, handle, and move parts to the next operation
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Notify supervisor of damaged parts, quality concerns, or equipment issues
Assist other production departments as needed
No prior metal fabrication experience required — training provided
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and hand–eye coordination
Ability to work safely in a production environment
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, dust, and metal debris
