Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facility and occasionally at construction/job sites. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical structures and components with precision and attention to quality. The work performed in this position is critical to ensuring durable, safe, and reliable infrastructure and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, fit, and weld metal components using appropriate welding methods

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick (MMA) welding as required

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

• Measure and align materials using squares, calipers, and other precision tools

• Operate electrical and manual tools such as saws, grinders, and cutting equipment

• Inspect finished welds to ensure quality and structural integrity

• Repair and maintain equipment and welded structures as needed

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

• Work both independently and with team members to meet production deadlines

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder

• Experience using multiple welding techniques (TIG, MIG, MMA/Stick)

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

• Familiarity with electrical and manual fabrication tools

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship

• Proficient in English (reading and communication)

• Completion of a relevant welding apprenticeship or formal training program required

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Welding Certification (or similar professional certification)

• Construction or fabrication shop experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs as needed

• Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and working in shop or outdoor environments

• Must wear required PPE (face shield, welding hood, gloves, protective clothing)

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility and occasional construction sites

• Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise

• Safety equipment and PPE required at all times
