Accounting Position (Accounts Receivable)

Location: Fort Myers, FL
Pay: $18–$21 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM - Full-Time Position

• Two 15-minute breaks and one 1-hour lunch break

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting / Accounts Receivable professional to join a growing company in Fort Myers. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company’s cash flow. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute accurate client invoices in a timely manner

• Process incoming payments (checks, credit cards, electronic transfers)

• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due invoices

• Communicate professionally with customers regarding billing and account status

• Prepare accounts receivable reports for management, including DSO metrics

• Maintain accurate records within the accounting system

Additional Administrative Duties

• Travel planning assistance

• Procurement of office supplies

• Planning company parties and celebrations

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

• 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (Accounts Receivable preferred)

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices, including GAAP

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
