We are looking for an energetic and experienced Line Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen team in the Grove area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes quickly and accurately, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests during the busy lake season and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies; chop vegetables, prepare sauces, and precook proteins.
Cooking: Execute menu items to order, including grilling, frying, and sautéing, while following specific recipes and presentation standards.
Kitchen Safety: Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation; follow all food safety regulations (FIFO, temp logs, and health department codes).
Teamwork: Coordinate with front-of-house staff and other cooks to ensure timely ticket windows and "synchronized" plate exits.
Inventory: Alert management when stock is low and assist in unloading deliveries.
Qualifications:
Experience: 1+ years of experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
Skills: Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures.
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) and work in a high-heat environment.
Schedule: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (especially during peak summer months).
