Our client located in Elgin, IL is looking for CNC Set-Up for their 1st shift! This is a temporary assignment. In this position, you will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, selecting and changing cutting tools, inspecting finished parts, and performing precision measurements using calipers and micrometers.

 

Pay: $22.00+/hr

Hours: M-F | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

CNC Milling Machine Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC milling machines and ensure proper fixturing and clamping of parts
• Select and change cutting tools; adjust machine settings as needed
• Monitor machining processes and troubleshoot issues
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Perform precision measurements using calipers and micrometers
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with general shop duties and adhere to safety protocols

CNC Milling Machine Operator Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months of CNC milling experience or completion of a relevant technical program
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset
• Basic computer and mathematical skills
