Express is seeking an experienced Sanitation Worker to support cleanliness and food safety operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for sanitizing production equipment, verifying facility cleanliness, and following established sanitation schedules and programs to ensure compliance with food safety standards. This is a career opportunity with a family owned company that has been operating for over 50 years! 

Sanitation Worker

Pay: $18.00/hr

Shift: 1st shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday 

Location: Reading, PA

 

Responsibilities:

• Sanitize and clean all production equipment according to food safety and sanitation procedures

• Perform facility cleaning and sanitation to maintain a safe production environment

• Test and inspect equipment and facility areas to verify cleanliness standards are met

• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and sanitation programs

• Properly handle and use cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines

• Complete sanitation documentation and maintain accurate records

• Identify and report sanitation or maintenance issues promptly

• Support compliance with GMP, HACCP, and company food safety policies

• Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of sanitation experience required

• Food manufacturing or food processing experience preferred

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, cleaning chemicals, and safety practices

• Ability to follow written procedures and cleaning schedules

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  
  
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
