POSITION SUMMARY: Wildfire Truck & Equipment Sales is committed to installing emergency equipment at its highest level so the professionals who utilize our services will arrive on scene safely and have a higher level of visibility while on the job. Wildfire proudly represents over 20 industry leaders in the Emergency Warning Industry. Technician is required to install, repair, and fabricate aftermarket equipment on service vehicles. It will also require at times shop maintenance.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:

• Work under Lead installer(s) and Bay Manager(s) in order to assist with the up-fit of emergency vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle breakdown.
• Assist with installation of basic components, repair, and fabricate aftermarket equipment to fit on emergency vehicle.
• Mounting basic lightheads onto the body of a vehicle.
• Mount Lightbar(s) to the roof of a vehicle.
• Ability to use a crimper and stripper and butt splice connectors to make proper wiring connections
• Understanding of 12 volts and ability to set patterns on remote lightheads
• Install interior lightheads in front windshield and rear window of vehicles.
• Assist with re-assembly of vehicle components.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS NEEDED:

• Drills: Cordless are preferred
• Test light
• Multimeter
• Screwdrivers
• Socket sets both metric and standard
• Wrenches both metric and standard

MUST HAVES:

• Install Shop experience
• Job history working in a body shop, car stereo shop, custom vehicle up-fit, emergency vehicle up-fit is preferred.
• Proficient with use of hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, screw drivers
• Proficient with use of rechargeable impact gun, rechargeable drill.
• Proficient in drilling holes
• Proficient with making minor modifications to bracketry in order to make components fit together properly
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and teamwork
• Ability to develop recommendations for more efficient operation in the bays.
• Ability to look at situations from several points of view
• High School Diploma/GED

DURING INTERVIEW:

• Applicant is to bring a current driver license.
• A short technical test will be administered.
• Background check required upon offer
