Industrial Painter 1st Shift

Located in Sunnyvale, TX

Salary: $18-$25/hour DOE

Job Description 

The industrial painter will apply protective coatings and decorative finishes to machinery, equipment, and other industrial structures. This role involves thorough surface preparation, proper paint selection, and application using specialized tools and techniques while adhering to strict safety regulations to ensure the longevity and functionality of painted surfaces.

 

Location:  Sunnyvale TX

Hours:  1ST  Shift M-F; 7 am - 3:30 pm (OT on Saturdays as needed)

 

Requirements: 

• Must be able to read and understand manufactures paint specs and apply them as required.
• Must understand and apply paint mixing requirements for 2k paints.
• Must have experience with the Graco paint system.
• Must be able to accomplish daily workloads and tasks.
• Must be able to perform all quality checks including dry and wet mil thickness and adhesion tests.
• Follow all SSPC-required paint prep guidelines.
• Must have experience using epoxy and urethane paint products and primers applied to metal surfaces.
• Knowledgeable in all procedures to meet quality standards and specs. 

Experience: 

• Must have experience with the Graco paint system.
• Previous supervisory experience required
• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years plus directly related experience with production painting
• Paint booth painting is required.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of the paint department and good communication skills
• Bilingual a plus
