Job Title: Pump Foreman Helper
Location: Tallahassee (travel required, will be home on weekends)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Pump Operator / Foreman
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Pump Foreman Helper to support drilling operations in the field and assist with equipment maintenance at the shop. This role requires general construction experience. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
Drilling Support & Equipment Operation

Assist the Pump Operator with operating a drill rig during:

Learn and memorize all drill rig lever functions and component operations.

Operate and assist with all drill rig components safely and efficiently.

Utilize hydraulic winch systems and top drive equipment for heavy lifting operations.
Site Setup & Coordination
-
Assist in setting up drilling sites prior to operations.

Communicate effectively with client-consultants regarding site logistics and operational needs.

Ensure proper positioning and stabilization of equipment before drilling begins.
Maintenance & Shop Responsibilities
-
Perform painting, scraping, grinding, and organization of equipment at job sites.

Conduct painting, welding, grinding, and general equipment maintenance at the shop.

Maintain organized storage of tools, parts, and drilling materials.

Support preventative maintenance efforts to ensure equipment readiness.
Qualifications
-
Experience assisting with drill rig operations. Ideal but not required.

Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, winches, and top drive components.

Ability to operate a forklift and a combination backhoe (certification preferred).

Basic welding and fabrication skills. Ideal but not required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to quickly learn equipment functions.

Ability to lift heavy materials and work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field teams and clients.

Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

Prolonged standing, bending, climbing, and working around heavy equipment.

Ability to work extended hours and travel to job sites as needed.
