Our client in Cedar Rapids is looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate!

 

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations through the accurate receiving, storing, moving, packaging, and shipping of materials and products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains clean and safe work areas, verifies shipments, and follows all quality and safety procedures. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, works well within a team, and is willing to train on forklift operation and inventory control while performing physical tasks that support efficient warehouse workflow.

 

Job Duties

• Loading and unloading delivery trucks and storing items in designated warehouse locations
• Manually or mechanically moving materials from pallets, skids, platforms, lifting devices, and transport vehicles
• Receiving, storing, moving, packing, and shipping outgoing materials, equipment, and other items
• Verifying shipments by checking invoice orders and ensuring accuracy
• Recording inventory numbers, performing physical counts, investigating discrepancies, and adjusting errors as needed
• Entering and comparing product information within the database to confirm order accuracy
• Marking shipments with product names and relevant identifying information
• Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, delivery trucks, and storage areas to ensure safety compliance
• Reporting any issues related to warehouse equipment or heavy machinery
• Following written and verbal work instructions and adhering to quality and safety standards

 

Requirements

• Experience in packaging, picking, quality assurance/quality control, and shipping preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and accurately interpret written and verbal instructions
• Willingness to train on forklift operation
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages weighing approximately 25–50 lbs (with periodic lifting of at least 30 lbs)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
• Consistent work history in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
• Must maintain near-perfect attendance

Pay:

• $18.00 per hour

Hours:

• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
