Overview:

Our client is looking for a Night Shift Brake Press Operator for their growing facility in Brantford! Our client manufactures laboratory furniture and equipment for the industrial, pharmaceutical, education, health care and government markets.

 

As a Brake Press Operator you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying material and setting up the brake press with the required materials and gauges prior to braking parts.

** Must be able to attend in person interviews in Hamilton, ON **

 

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

• Inspect, verify material and dimensions of parts prior to braking 
• Select and change dies 
• Determine correct braking order 
• Set-up the brake press for any required material, gauges or parts
• Form different materials and gauges as per prints provided 
• Follow quality procedures for first and last offs 
• Maintain equipment and conduct minor repairs 

Are You Qualified?:

• Previous 2 years experience with running and setting up a brake press
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and data sheets
• Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs 
• Mechanically inclined 
• Have basic math skills

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Clean temperature controlled facility 
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time  
• Lifting up to and including 50 lbs
