Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring a Design Engineer for a local engineered systems manufacturer located in Monroe, WA. Starting pay is $75,000 - $80,000 per hour. This is a full‑time, Direct Hire position on day shift, working Monday–Friday.
This role supports the design, development, production, and technical support of engineered kits and system integrations. Work involves mechanical and electrical system design, component specification, and hands‑on product validation.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Designing and developing mechanical and control system integrations for machinery
• Performing engineering calculations related to performance, system sizing, and safety
• Specifying and documenting custom and off‑the‑shelf components
• Applying engineering standards, specifications, and industry codes to ensure product quality
• Conducting peer reviews to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and design accuracy
• Assisting with onboarding and mentoring of newer engineers
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering task planning
• Acting as a cross‑functional technical advisor to internal teams and customers
• Contributing to hands‑on product development and equipment testing
• Helping customers resolve installation or equipment‑performance issues (may include domestic & international travel)
• Identifying opportunities to improve products, processes, or customer experience
• Maintaining high standards of teamwork, quality, and professional conduct
