Medical Transcriptionist

Salary: $18.00/hour

Job Title: Medical Transcriptionist

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe dermatology-related dictation, including patient histories, exam notes, procedures, and treatment plans
• Review and edit medical documents for accuracy, grammar, and completeness
• Enter documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Ensure timely completion of reports to support patient care and billing processes
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
• Communicate with providers to clarify unclear dictation when necessary

Qualifications:

• Previous medical transcription experience required (dermatology experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent typing speed and accuracy
• Proficiency with EMR systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Location: Davenport, IA
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Full-Time or Part-Time Options Available)
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
