Position Summary

The Junior Recruiter supports the recruiting team by sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates throughout the hiring process. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources and talent acquisition. The Junior Recruiter works closely with hiring managers to identify qualified candidates and ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and internal databases
  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates
  • Conduct phone screens and initial interviews
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers
  • Assist with drafting and posting job descriptions
  • Support onboarding activities and background checks
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding recruitment progress
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, customer service, or administrative support, Junior Recruiter
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Duties

  • Assist in sourcing candidates through various channels including social media, job boards, and internal databases.
  • Conduct initial candidate screening by reviewing resumes and conducting phone or in-person interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Support the scheduling of interviews between candidates and hiring managers while maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
  • Support internal recruiting efforts by maintaining relationships with current employees for succession planning and employee relations initiatives.
  • Contribute to social media management efforts to promote job openings and enhance employer branding.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse audiences.
  • Prior experience in recruiting or customer service a must.
